Beverley Film Society is suspending its current programme for the foreseeable future, following the news that Parkway Cinema will be closed temporarily, due to the current health and safety measures in relation to Covid-19.
We fully support the cinema’s manager, Cliff Baillie and his team for taking decisive action in this difficult situation. We would like to reassure you that we will adhere to all Government guidelines on this matter and hope to reschedule our monthly screenings as soon as we are able.
In the meantime, we hope you are all receiving the support you may need during this challenging time. If you have access to Facebook, please do keep in touch with us via our BFS group page and we will send out further newsletters as the situation changes.
There are a number of community groups in our area for anyone who needs support and advice plus online groups and networks. These are helpful if you feel isolated due to the current closures. Also a group of East Yorkshire volunteers has set up a group page on Facebook: Beverley/East Riding Covid-19 Mutual Aid to offer general support and an online forum for our communities to access.
Take care of yourselves and others, we hope to see you all again very soon.
From all of us on the Beverley Film Society committee.
